Door Sagging

Door Sagging Repair & Realignment

A sagging door can make everyday use frustrating and may lead to bigger structural problems over time. When hinges loosen or frames shift, doors begin to drop out of alignment, causing them to scrape the floor, stick against the frame, or fail to latch properly. These issues not only affect smooth operation but can also reduce security and damage your flooring or hardware.
Our door sagging repair service focuses on restoring proper alignment and balance without the need for full replacement. We carefully inspect hinges, screws, frames, and supports, then make precise adjustments to lift, level, and secure the door back into position. By reinforcing weak points and correcting alignment, we ensure your door swings freely and closes securely.

With professional realignment and durable fixes, your doors will operate smoothly, look better, and last longer. The result is a safer, quieter, and more comfortable home environment with doors that function like new.

Fixing tricky doors became my specialty, and before long I decided to offer it as my own service. Now, Door Adjust helps homeowners all over Kansas City get their doors closing, latching, and swinging like they should.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does door repair cost in Kansas City?

We offer two main packages: Our Basic Package starts at $189 and includes 2 doors free (adjusted or weather sealed) with additional door only being $29 for interior doors and $39 for exterior doors, storm doors, or fence gates. All doors come with a 3-month warranty. Our Complete Package is $699 and includes a complete home door inspection with all doors needing adjustment fixed, weather stripping service, hinge maintenance, and a 9-month warranty covering up to 15 doors.

We focus on the primary functions of hinging doors and gates: we make sure doors open/close, latch, lock, and weather seal smoothly without rubbing, sticking, or catching.

If you have one of those issues, we can fix it – even if it’s so severe the door can no longer be opened.

We offer same-week service in most cases. Many door adjustments can be completed in 15-30 minutes per door. We’ll provide an estimated timeframe when you schedule your appointment.
